Media language: is the way in which the meaning of a media text is conveyed to the audience. One of the ways Media Language works is to convey meaning through signs and symbols suggested by the way a scene is set up and filmed.
One key example of this that is very famous is Darth Vader from the star wars film series where his costume gives off connotations and denotations these are called codes so one example would be the color black which could represent him being an intimidating figure and gives off connotations of an evil villain.
Representation: Media representations are the ways in which the media portrays particular groups, communities, experiences, ideas, or topics from a particular ideological or value perspective. Rather than examining media representations as simply reflecting or mirroring "reality," we examine how media representations
Some examples when this has happened in the media for example in newspapers or magazines was when the united kingdom decided to leave the European union in 2016 some sides of the media were for the uk leaving however others Were not
Audience: Target audiences are groups of readers, viewers or listeners defined by specific characteristics such as age, income, gender or interests. This is a specific group for whom media and other organizations develop content and shape messages through different colors and texts.
There are many examples of this in the modern media between different audiences, for example, different ages, genders, interests most modern media pieces go off of these checklists so people buy their products
Institutions: A Media Institution is an established and regulated organization that owns, and produces many different media products, systems, and texts. Media institutions tend to be large global corporations such as broadcasting companies, newspaper and magazine publishers, film production companies, music and publishing companies, and some governments.

Some media institutions will tend to be larger than others which is why some are able to make certain pieces of media due to budget, influence and the companies ideology this is also why some indie films are not able to do well in such a big market
